Please read instructions & notes thoroughly before installation.
Step 1 Level the Top
- Mark where the top of where you wish to install the screen guard pet door.
- Place the level on this mark until the bubble is centered. Mark a line onto the screen guard with your felt-tip marker.
Step 2 Align the Template
- Measure 2 inches from the side of the screen guard and make a mark along the top line of the ruler.
- Align the paper template with the marks made on the top and side.
- Tape the template securely in place on each corner and around the entire outer edge.
Step 3 Remove the Screen Door
- Remove the Screen door from the track and place on a clean concrete surface.
- Using side-cut pliers or tin snips carefully cut the screen guard following the inside edge of the paper template.
- When finished, remove the template and cut out section and discard.
- Turn the entire screen guard over so the screen guard is facing down.
Step 4 Cut the Screen Out
- With a sharp utility knife carefully cut the screen material following the cutout of the screen guard as a guide.
- Remove the material and discard.
Step 5 Outside Frame
- Take the plastic outside frame and place it underneath the screen with the screw holes facing up.
- Line up the frame opening with the cutout.
- Clear the opening of any remaining material.
Step 6 Inside Frame
- Place the inside frame on the outside frame to check the fit.
- Remove the frame and peel off the tape on the underside edge.
- Once the tape is removed, place the frame into the cutout lined up with the outside frame.
Step 7 Install the Screws
- Drill the provided screws into the screw holes of the frame.
- Place the plastic lock-out slide into the pet door after all the screws have been completed.
Step 8 Re-Install the Screen
- Re-install the screen into the track.
- Remove the lockout slide and the pet door is ready to use.
