Please read instructions & notes thoroughly before installation.
Step 1 Mark Your Pet's Height
- Measure your pet's shoulder height.
- Use this measurement to mark the location on your door for the pet door.
Step 2 Trace the Template
- Remove the door for easiest installation.
- Apply the template where you marked your pet's shoulder height and trace around it.
- Then remove the template. Make sure that the traced line is level, or else the flaps will not close correctly.
Step 3 Drill the Holes
- Drill starter holes and cut around the traced line to create the opening.
Step 4 Cut the Opening
- Starting at one of the holes, cut along the template line with an appropriate tool.
Step 5 Measure Door Thickness
- Measure the thickness of the door.
- On the grooved side of each of the tunnel pieces, add 1 inch to the door thickness and mark the closest groove.
- Cut along the groove for each tunnel piece.
Step 6 Mount the Tunnel Pieces
- Snap the tunnel pieces into the track on the back of the pet door.
- Tape each of the four corners for additional support.
Step 7 Install the Frames
- Place the assembled tunnel section into the hole on the inside of the door.
- Hold the other frame in the opening.
Step 8 Secure the Frames
- Secure the sides together with the provided screws and nuts.
- Flip the door and trim the screws using wire cutters.
Step 9 Reinstall the Door
- Installation complete. Reinstall the door on it's hinges.

- Step 1: Place thumbs in center of cover.
- Step 2: Place fingers on the back side of the wings sticking out of the sides of the cover.
- Step 3: Push with thumbs and Pull with fingers at the same time to unsnap the cover from the frame.

Is this going to keep out extreme weather? The flap seals pretty well, but it does only have a magnet on the bottom at seals with the door frame, so it is not that great in areas with higher winds. PetSafe Pet Doors sells an extreme weather pet door that has an insulated flap opening. |
Can large and small pets share the same door? Yes, this would be a great choice if you have different sized pets that need to use the same door. |

Step 1 Mark Your Pet's Height
- Measure your pet's shoulder height.
