This set includes two B3V1A batteries specifically designed for compatibility with MS-4 and MS-5 collar keys, not the discontinued MS-2 or MS-2A.

These long-lasting replacement batteries have an approximate lifespan of 3 months, ensuring your pet's collar key remains operational for an extended period. It is recommended to purchase more than one set for your convenience.

Installation is a breeze with a simple snap-in-place design that requires no power or hand tools. You can effortlessly keep your High Tech Power Pet Automatic Door Mount functioning smoothly for your beloved pet.

  • 2 High Tech Replacement Collar Key Battery

Tools

  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Small-screw screwdriver (included with the MS-5 only)

Step 1 Lay the Collar Flat

  • Lay the collar key facedown on a flat surface.

Step 2 Remove Screw

  • (MS-5 Only): Remove the small screw on the back plate, located on the corner of the strap square.

Step 3 Separate Back Plate

  • Note the two insert indents on both of the longer edges.
  • Use the screwdriver to separate the back plate from the main casing in those indents, and lift the back plate off.

Step 4 Insert New Battery

  • The old high tech pet collar battery should be resting inside the casing.
  • Remove it, and place the new high tech battery for collar keys with the plus-side facing up where the old battery was.

Step 5 Reinstall Back Plate

  • (MS-5 only): Place the back plate back on top with the screw holes matching up.
  • Press the plate back into the main casing.
  • Make sure the plate snaps back into place, pushing it in all the way. The backing may fall off if it isn’t fully reattached.

FAQ

Are the batteries for collar keys just typical watch batteries?

No. This battery is for your dog door only and cannot be used for your dog collar key attachment. The ultrasonic collar is powered by either the High Tech Pet ms-4 or ms-5 collar batteries, which you can checkout battery replacements for here.

Is this a 270 mah lithium battery?

This replacement battery is a sealed lead-acid battery that charges up to 12 volts (1300 mah).

What power tools do I need to install this battery?

This battery should snap into place, meaning it is power and hand tools free. Additional information can be found in the Installation Instructions tab.

Will this battery work for the MS 2?

The high tech battery for collar keys MS 2 and MS 2A will not work with the MS 4 or MS 5 new collar keys.

How many batteries will I receive with this order?

You will receive two (2) batteries.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated at checkout.

Warranty

Warranty Type: Limited 

Duration: One year from the original delivery date for all products except collar key batteries. Collar key batteries are not covered.

Coverage:

  • Repair or replacement for products that fail to operate within one year of the original delivery date.

  • Shipping of repaired or replaced products back to the customer via FedEx Ground or USPS priority mail is covered by High Tech Pet Products.

Exclusions:

  • Cleaning charges: Products returned dirty or with pet hair will incur a charge equal to 25% of the original purchase price.

  • Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the defective product to High Tech Pet Products.

  • Expedited shipping requests for replacements are at the customer's expense.

  • All products, including pet doors, must be returned and examined before a replacement unit is sent.
