The Patio Pacific Panel Height and Sash Width Extensions are designed to provide a seamless and secure fit for your Endura Flap Thermo Panel and Thermo Sash pet doors.  Additionally, it will work with Dragon, Liberty and Whiskers & Windows pet door panels for sliding glass door and windows. If you've found that your pet door is slightly too small for your doorway, these extensions offer the perfect solution, giving you an extra 1/2" added to the panel or sash adjustment range.

NOTE: The size of the height extension is about 3/4 inch. Choose your patio panel pet door size based on the chart above so we can send you the right width. If the height extension of 3/4" is not the correct size, you can also put a piece of lumber in your panel track to extend the height.

How do I know if I need to purchase this?

The height and width extensions are made for when you purchase a Thermo Panel that is too small for your doorway. It adds about ¾” extra length to your Thermo Panel. You can also create your own with a 1” thick piece of wood, but it will not be as aesthetically pleasing.

What do I do if the panel I purchased is too tall for my doorway?

If it off by less than an inch, you may be able to saw off length from either the top or bottom of the panel to bring it to size. As long as your Thermo Panel is not a custom length, you can return it within 90 days of purchase. See your return policy for more details.

I have an odd door height. Will this help the Thermo Panel fit into my sliding glass doorway?

Yes, it can! This is great for when your door is between door range sizes. However, if there is more than ¾” difference between the panel size and your doorway, then you should invest in a custom panel insert height.

How do I know what size to get?

You need to order the size that corresponds to the size of your pet door flap. For example, if you ordered a small Endura Flap pet door, you should order the small height extension piece.

Will this affect my door’s insulation value?

It can, but we highly recommend lining the inside of the extension piece with weather stripping to prevent any loss of energy efficiency.
