Product Details
Keep your pet door functioning like new with Pride Replacement Flaps, the ideal upgrade for worn-out or damaged flaps. Now available in two flap types, you can pick between two levels of flap opacity. These replacement flaps provide durability, insulation, and a secure seal against outdoor elements. The strong magnets at the bottom ensure the flap stays shut, reducing drafts and maintaining indoor comfort.
The Black Flap is the original Pride replacement flap made from heavy-duty black rubber. The non-transparent design blocks sunlight while providing a sturdy barrier against the elements.
The Clear Flap is a brand new, clear-flap alternative to the traditional Pride design. The lightweight vinyl flap is easy to use, allowing pets to see through their pet door while the magnetic flap keeps it sealed against wind and rain. This flap comes with a brand new white frame that will perfectly fit your pre-existing rough cutout, and is as easy to install as the original Pride Pet Door.
Designed to fit Pride Pet Doors, as well as the discontinued Johnson and PetSafe Ultimate models, these flaps offer a seamless replacement without requiring modifications.
Installation is quick and hassle-free—reuse your existing hardware and simply swap out the old flap. Available in multiple sizes, Pride Replacement Flaps ensure a perfect fit for pets of all sizes. For small-sized doors, slight modifications may be required when replacing Johnson or PetSafe Ultimate flaps.
Restore your pet door’s performance with a high-quality replacement flap that stands up to daily use, extreme weather, and years of reliable service.
Please Note: The black flap prevents pets from being able to see through the pet door. For safety, make sure that when the locking cover is in place, the pets are on the same side as the cover so that they can see it.
Small Size Only Information:
Small flap has numbs that slide into a top channel. They do not screw into place like the Medium, Large and Extra Large sizes. The Small flap is not an exact replacement for Johnson or PetSafe Ultimate flaps. Customers have been able to modify the small and use it in their PetSafe pet doors, but it is not a simple substitute and once altered it is not returnable.

FAQ
Are clear flaps for the Pride Pet Door available? Yes! A brand new clear flap version of the Pride door is now available. The clear flap comes with a brand new white frame that will perfectly fit the pre-existing hole already made into your door. You can install it just like a regular, classic Pride Pet Door. |
Can the locking cover for the Pride be used for the old Johnson/Ultimate pet doors as well? No, the flaps are interchangeable however the locking covers are not. While we carry a number of PetSafe replacement parts, you'll need to contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement locking cover. |
Does it come with the hardware? No, it does not come with hardware so you would have to use existing screws. In some cases customers have had to purchase longer screws if they are using this to replace the Johnson pet door. This is because the Pride is a thicker flap. |
Will this fit my Johnson or Ultimate door? We have had thousands of customers use these flaps, but there is an issue with the SMALL flaps. Since they slide into a bar at the top, they have small nubs and not screw holes. The size is correct so customers have trimmed off the nubs, drilled their own screw holes, and cut off the small nubs that stick out at the top of the "U" gasket on each side. This DIY option for the small dog/cat flap might work, but it is not a simple fix. You might consider adding a replacement cat door to your pet wish list instead. Pride medium-extra large pet door flaps will work for your Johnson door-- PetSafe (Radio Systems) bought Johnson pet supplies and started producing the same doggie door design under the name PetSafe Ultimate. |
Does the door have magnets? The Pride pet doors replacement flaps do come with magnets. The Small has 1 in the center, the Medium has 2 at the bottom evenly spaced, the Large has 3 at the bottom evenly spaced, and the Extra Large has 3 at the bottom evenly spaced along with 1 on each side. |
Is this flap heavy? Pride flaps tend to be heavier than other flexible models as they are thicker. This can cause issues if you a replacing a Johnson or Ultimate door, and have large and small pets sharing. Consider checking out the PetSafe Extreme Weather Pet Door for a durable pet door that is also easy for small pets to push through. |
Where do I measure? In order to get the right size you need to measure inside the "U" gasket. This is the smallest opening for the pet, so that is what they go by. The Johnson pet door replacement flaps were measured the same way. |
Does this replacement include both the inner and outer flaps? Yes. |
Can I just get the U-shaped piece? Unfortunately not, we do not sell that piece separately. |
Do you carry other ld 500 parts or just the ld 500 replacement flaps? We do have the flaps and the covers. |
Why is the flap black? The flap is actually made from recycled tires, which gives it the black color. If you have the PetSafe Ultimate and do not want a black flap, you may need to consider replacement doors. If you are looking for similar weather resistance, the ideal pet products Ruff Weather Pet Door is a good option, with tinted (rather than solid black) flaps that might be more comfortable for your pet. It comes in sizes small-super large to work for all pets from cats to large dogs. |
For the XLD600 Pride C-Large Deluxe which is the correct flap? The stock code is 10ZS04, but the manufacturer part number is XLD600A. |
I can't find Ultimate Replacement Flap. Will the replacement Pride flaps work? The Pride flap replacement is designed to replace the Medium, Large and Extra Large PetSafe Ultimate flaps. If you have a small, you'll need to replace the entire pet door with a new Small Pride Pet Door. |
Will the replacement flap Pride replace the PetSafe SKUs: S-VA-11, M-VA-11, L-VA-11, X-VA-11? Pride Replacement flaps can be substituted for PetSafe Ultimate S-VA-11, M-VA-11, L-VA-11, X-VA-11 with the exception of the S-VA-11. For that size you will need to replace the entire pet door. |
Will the Pride flap replacement sd 300 work on my PetSafe Ultimate s-2-11 pet door? The Pride SD 300 replacement flap will only work with Pride Pet Door Frames. Some owners have successfully modified it to work with their PetSafe, but we do not have the work-around. Additionally, once the flap has been altered it is non-returnable. We recommend replacing the entire pet door. |
What do I order for a Pride LD500A Flap Assembly replacement? You will need to order the Large size for the LD500 replacement flap. |
I need a pride flap assembly for my MD400 model, what should I order? You will need to order the Medium flap. |
