Install a Large Electronic Pet Door in a Door or Wall

or wall installation - PetSmart Electronic

(Note: For a wall mount you'll need to frame the wall
yourself in such a way that both dog door frames are touching.)
Purchase a storm door locally. Measure the
thickness of the storm door.
Then purchase a "self-framing" pet door
for doors that will adjust to that thickness. You'll find these on
our "Pet
Doors for Doors" page. If you need a storm
door, you probably want a good "4-season" pet door.
It is possible to purchase a complete storm door with
the pet door pre-installed. However, we've encountered some problems
with this approach.
First, a considerable amount of assembly is still
required as the storm doors are shipped "knock down". Second, it's
difficult to be sure that the pet door is installed at the proper
height. And, finally, if you have a problem, it's more difficult to get
it resolved from a distance.
