Installation Tech Notes - The Pet Door Design System 

1. Our (3) perimeter frame sizes come in 5/8th “, 3/4” and 1” thicknesses designed to replace glass between 5/8th” 3/4” and 1” O.A.
    
2.  Measure like a normal glass replacement. Record the net width, height and over-all glass thickness of the existing glass being replaced. The frame is built to those dimensions
    
3.  Pet Opening Size and rise. Work with our client to select the proper pet door size and “rise” as described in the attached diagrams. It’s easy.
4.  Select clear glass or glass options (low-e) and designate the unit as a left or right and circle the corresponding “XO” or “OX” diagram (“X” designates the moving panel. “O” is fixed as viewed from outside). Select frame color.
    
5. Complete the paperwork with your company name and contact info in the upper left. Client info in the upper right. Fax it in. We will build and ship the unit to your location.
    
6. Lead time: 2 weeks. 2-1/2 weeks for East Coast deliveries.
    
7.  Installation. The unit comes complete, ready to install. No assembly required. Install like a normal re-glaze using the existing stops, setting blocks and new glazing tape. Clean the track, adjust the door, done!

Pet Door Design Conversion System

1. Designed to replace glass in the *sliding section of patio doors (pat. pend.)
    

2. Trim-line frame built to the same height, width and thickness as the existing glass it replaces to include a quality pet door and new tempered double pane glass pre-installed.
    

3. Measures and installs like a normal insulated glass replacement. Comes fully assembled.Reversible. The old glass can be re-installed if the home is sold or the owner no longer has a pet. * See pet door placement guide for other applications.

Versatile

1. Custom built for each application.
    

2.  Three fusion welded vinyl frame profiles in white or beige come in 5/8th-3/4 and 1” sizes
    

3. Ideal for new construction or retro-fit. Will fit most sliding patio doors built in the United States with double pane glass. Single pane wood doors can convert by trimming the stops
    

4. Small, medium, large and extra large pet door sizes fit most dogs and cats. Custom “rise” in 2” increments at +2” and +4” (rise is the step over height of the pet door after installation). The values noted above are added for increased rise needed to accommodate larger pets.
