Installing Your 900 SeriesPet Panel

Step #2-Installing the Door Seals

Your pet door includes 4 Door Seal Extrusions which mount on to the edge on the side of the 900 Series Pet Door Panel. To properly measure for installation, measure length from the bottom of the door frame to the bottom of the “Spring Loaded” Top Section (see Sketch B).

Make sure this is done with the door installed.

After measuring length, use a hack-saw to cut Door Seal Extrusions to length (see Picture #5) and press on to edge of door (see Picture #6).

Step #3- Securing the “Spring Loaded” Top Section

With “Spring Loaded” Top Section inside of door frame, secure by using 2 5/8” x 3/16” dia. Self Tapping Screws. Install screws 5/8” from edge of glass through the left and right side of “Spring Loaded” Top Section into 900 Series Pet Panel (see Picture #7).

Step#3-Installing the Lock Catch

Our instructions will cover the majority of sliding door locks. If your door lock is not compatible with the enclosed lock components, you can use an alternate method of securing your door.

NOTE: Many sliding doors have an adjustable locking mechanism. To increase or decrease the locking strength of your door, turn Adjustment Screw in or out.

...then place your one lock. Lock looks like this:

Single Hook-Style Door Lock

If your sliding door lock has a latch lock...you will need to install the Latch Adapter.

Position Latch Adapter to line up with latch lock when door is closed. Secure with 2 self-tapping screws (included) (see Picture #8).

If your lock looks like this:

Step #3-Installing the Lock Catch (continued)

Place Lock Catch onto your existing door lock hook in the up (locked) position (see Picture #10).

Partially close your sliding door so that you can mark the location of the top edge of Lock Catch inside your pet door frame (see Picture #11).

Open door, relocate Lock Catch to

line up with pencil and mark holes

(see Picture #12). Install Lock Catch,

through vinyl into steel reinforced plate,

using 1/4" self-tapping screws provided in Poly Bag #2 (see Picture #13).

Use Spacer if needed. Lock Catch has

slotted holes for adjustment if necessary.

If your sliding door has double hook-

style lock, repeat steps for second hook.

Finishing the Installation

Step #3-Attaching the Draft•Seal™

The Draft-Seal™ (combined in 2 pieces) attaches to the moving section of your sliding glass door. To install the Draft-Seal™, measure the vertical distance, or height of exposed glass, between top and bottom frames of the sliding door. Cut Draft•Seal™ to size with scissors using this length.

First, clean the surface of frame with household glass cleaner, then starting at top, attach Draft-Seal™ by aligning edge so that it rubs lightly against glass (see Picture #14). Pull paper off tape and gently press in place while working slowly down the Draft•Seal™. Do not press too firmly in the event that repositioning is necessary.

NOTE: Be sure that vinyl rubs lightly against glass all the way down length of glass. Press Draft-Seal™ firmly in place along entire length when you are satisfied it is correctly placed.
