(Original text for this product):  Any pet door can be installed in a wall if the wall is 'framed out' first. Ideal has created a kit that simplifies this process by providing the tunnel needed to frame out the wall. Available in Large size only.

You need this kit and the corresponding metal framed 'Original' Ideal door. Note that these wall kits will accept only one Ideal pet door. If you want a 'double flap' wall mount, we recommend the Ideal Ruff Weather, DogWalk, Hale Security or Endura Flap Wall Mount double flap alternatives. But this is a dandy solution for a moderate climate area or a garage, shed or other unheated area where a single flap may be adequate.

The Ideal locking covers always slide down a track over the flap from the top so do not plan an installation under an overhang (a window sill, for example).

Caution:  Even though the rough cut dimensions are exactly the same as for the Ideal Ultra-Flex pet doors, these wall kits will not work for installing the Ideal Ultra Flex doors in a wall.
