The Gun Dog Guillotine Doors may be used by
themselves as a remote closing panel at the end of a dog run (see
the blue illustration to the right). This set up allows the door to
be opened or closed without the need to enter the run.
Note that the hardware needed for this remote set
up (rope or wire, pulleys, handle) are NOT provided with the
guillotine door. They are available at any hardware store.
The slides are aluminum extrusion. They are fastened
on either side of the wall opening. The panel is 3/8" polypropylene.
Alternatively, the guillotine door may be used in
place of a Gun Dog Closing Cover along with a Gun Dog House Door in
the Heavy Duty, Big Dog, Easy Dog or Easy Big styles. This type of
installation permits remote closing and opening of the pet door
while the pet door provides insulation from outside weather.
