Most patio pet doors make the patio door
lock in-operable. But you still need to lock your
slider! One very nice solution
is to use a "Charley Bar" like the one at right. It is
adjustable in length, sturdy and is mounted about half
way up the jamb behind the sliding door. When it is
positioned against the sliding door, the sliding door
cannot be opened.
Of course, for the Charley Bar to
work, your sliding door must be on the inside
