The
Catwalk Designer Magnetic Glass Fitting & Screen Fitting
Cat Door
is designed to fit both single pane and double-glazed windows including
window glass or sliding glass doors. It's also great for screens or any
thin material such as plywood.
A 9.6" circular cut-out is required.
Remember you cannot cut tempered glass!! If you try, it will shatter.
You can have a replacement piece of glass made, however. Or you can cut
a hole in plate (not tempered) glass. If in any doubt about this point
you should entrust the job to a professional glazier.
Installation in thin panels, plywood or screen is also a
very appropriate choice for this cat flap.
The door is unlocked by "Multi-Super Magnets" only.
Two are included. No electrical connection or batteries are required. As
the magnets are fairly strong, the manufacturer suggests this door for
cats at least 9 months of age.
This door will "frame out" up to
1/4" thickness. Or, if you
purchase longer screws (don't know why they're not included!) you can
extend this range to 1/2"
maximum.
Self-drains dispose of condensation or moisture.
Includes a
4-way locking
device that is separate from the magnetic operated mechanism for
total cat control.
What separates this magnetic cat flap from other "in
glass" doors in our view is the use of UV stabilized Makrolon from Bayer
of Germany. This is similar to our commonly known polycarbonate and is
very strong; much stronger than Plexiglas
