The
Cat Mate 304 Cat Flap and the
Cat Mate 309 Cat Flap
are identical to each other except that the
304 locking mechanism allows for "locked" and "unlocked"
only while the 309 adds "in only" and "out only".
These cat flaps are self-framing only to a
maximum of 1/2" which effectively means they should not be
used for hollow core doors. (Note: any door that is not
solid wood should be considered "hollow core").
However, they certainly may be installed
in any solid core wood door and, also, in thin materials no
thicker than 1/2". A thin wood panel door or screen are two
good examples.
In addition, the Cat Mate 303 Wall Liners
may be used to allow installation of both of these cat flaps
in a wall. Just use as many of these 2" sections as required
for the thickness of the wall. They're found at "Parts
& Flaps".
